I am new (today)to this group and have two questions. First, I
noticed that the automatic transmission is rated 1 mpg more than the
5-spd. Is this true? A first in my book. Also, I looked at the
2002 CRV-EX and noticed the sunroof looked small, and the shade cover
did not retract far enough into the roof so that it blocked part of
the opening. Is this the case with all CRVs? Is there a structural
reason (i.e. support beam) that the opening is smaller than on other
cars I have seen.

Thanks for your time. You folks sound committed to your vehicles. I
have a '90 Accord with 268K and it's still running strong.
