I'm still running the original stock tires on my '03 CRV (P205/70/R15).  I'm not quite yet due for new ones, but soon, and when I do, I'd like to get some extra underbody clerance for driving in deep packed snow, so I don't get high-centered.

A few of the tire shops I've spoken with have suggested I could probably go 215/75/15.  Has anyone tried this or some other solution to gain more inches under the car without too much messing thing up, such as speed-/odometer, traction, gearing, fuel economy, power, noise?

Thanks,

Martha

Martha,

I just checked on this site & there's a dofference of slightly less that 11/2 " which will raise your car 3/4"

I don't think it would be worth it,unless they were more aggressive also.

Here's the site DML Tire and Wheel Calculator

HTH,

Bob

Should there be concern regarding making the crv
higher... can it become more suseptible to tipping
over? (higher ctr of gravity)
