lately my vigor has been misfiring a lot. i took it to the dealer
and they said sometimes the diode in the alternator goes bad and they
thought it was giving the computer false readings. however, i got
the alternator tested and it turns out its fine. it misses when im
driving, idling, whenever. completely intermittent. its a pain too,
especially when im starting from rest (5 spd tranny). also, when the
rpm drops below a certain point when it misses, the engine check
light comes on, which makes sense. however, when it does this, the
motor doesn't rev past 2800 rpm, like its hitting fuel cutoff. you
have to turn it off and back on, which pisses people off behind you
when youre sitting at a green light. ive checked wires and plugs and
a ton of connection plugs and fuses and relays and everything else
you can imagine. what the hell is going on???
