Got a Japan-import. The manual is in Japanese which I don't understand. Anyone
knows where can I get an English version?

I noticed that note too. Although what I have also read is that Severe Conditions means driving regularly under -29 C temperature or regular short trips. So unless you only drive 5 minutes to work every day or drive in the NWT, Nunavut or Yukon, you are not driving in Severe Conditions. I've heard this both from an Acura dealer and a Honda dealer. Of course some dealers are going to say yes, we do drive in Severe Conditions, because that way you'll be paying them for more frequent servicing of your car.

Of course doing it more often doesn't hurt anything... well, maybe your wallet. I found the maint schedule in the 2001 owners manual very difficult to decipher. But a couple of months ago I notice a new maint schedule pamphlet at the Acura dealers that was a lot easier to understand. I'm using this schedule now. Some of the items are actually more frequent that the owners manual calls for, but I think the layout is more clear as to when you're supposed to do what-when. e.g. if I followed the 2001 manual, I would be doing oil changes every 6 months (I hardly do 20,000km in a year), but with this schedule I'm doing it every 4.

That's the same pamphlet I got, and the one I follow, because that is definitely much easier to understand. Better laid out and more clear cut with that than the manual. Thae manual has too many footnotes and sidenotes to cross reference.
