I have a 2008 Accord, and I realized that I wasn't the only one who thought the light was too dim. I've read somewhere that one solution to this was to tilt the light upwards a little bit. I'm not 100% sure if this were true, but I wanted to give it a try. And if nothing else, to get used to that area, since I'm planning on installing HID.
I took out the plastic part which is held by 6 or 7 plastic bolts. However, after I took that plastic cover out, I had no idea how to get to the light. Can I get some help?
Thank you

Sorry I'm not familiar with that particular model's headlight housing, but I'm sure that the alignment of the light could be causing it to appear more dim.

I'd suggest when you find out how to adjust it, that you try it in the dark with the lights shining on something like a garage door so you can see the effect of the adjustment.

Yes the alignment will make it seem less bright. I am not to sure on exactly how you would get the cover off on this make, sorry.

HI,

I would not recommend fiddling with the alignment of the light this should be done by a garage only.
you could end up blinding oncoming drivers !!.

besides have your eyes tested people often realize a deteriorating eyesight whilst driving at night.

no hard feelings aye

Actually I think that's excellent advice, Phil. I was thinking that if someone was going to try it on their own anyway, maybe they could compare the misaligned beam with a proper one against a wall or from a distance in the dark.

I'd go to a mechanic, I think.

Good point. How much does it cost to go to a mechanic to have this done. Does anyone know by chance? Thanks.

The headlights are used by all of us every day. I didn't know that they should should only be adjusted by the garage or dealer. In my 2004 van I use the brights hardly at all. The dims are always on in town. Sometime I accidentally leave the brights on. The only lights I can't stand are those PURPLE ONES.
