your stock shocks wont be able to handle it. they might blow even within the first week.

get a suspension kit. it's cheaper to buy it all together.

either that or coilovers. i just have the lowering springs and kyb shocks, though.

I've seen some fine looking cars in Ontario, Canada riding really low, but I never knew where the style came from originally.

Is it an influence from California low riders?

If your talking about the Tein S-Techs, then go ahead and purchase them. They will work fine with your stock struts. They are pretty mild and designed to work with your stock shocks. I have this exact setup and I have had no problems.

Not sure how it is on the newer civic's but, i lowered my ef 2in. without a camber kit an was wearing my tires every week for two weeks, till i got a camber kit.Don't risk your tires,do your homework. If your car requires one, i'd purchase it before the lowering.

Lowering that much is possible w/o a camber kit but not recommended. You can always source a long bolt and a couple of washers (for the upper link on the rear suspension) to dail out some of that camber relatively cheaply. The front should be OK, but expect to wear through tires quickly.

First and foremost - set a modification goal, save up, and do it right the first time. Otherwise you can easily spend twice as much as you'd need to. You'll need serious shocks for that much drop - the shock company will be able to tell you whether they support it, but honestly get a matched spring/shock kit.

Other than wearing tires a little quick, you can drop and then adjust camber later - but don't try to drop on stock shocks.
