I'm new to the group, and am in the process of looking at a 95 Si.
Any key things to look for. Right now I own a 91 Si hatch, and my
girlfriend owns a 94 del sol S. The car I'm looking at has a whole
lot of miles, and a bad paint job, but beyond that looks alright.
But I figured the Del Sol crowd could warn me of possible trouble
signs. If somebody could reply quickly it would be great since I'm
going to look at the car today (Monday). Thanks in advance.

Watch the timing belt - Honda says to change every
90,000 miles. Otherwise, you may as well total the
car.
FYI - I also have a 95 Del Sol for sale. It's red,
about 150,000 miles, in excellent condition - new
brakes, exhaust, all maintenance and upkeep. Runs very
well. Let me know if you have any interest.

As long as the timing belt is changed, as someone has
already mentioned, and the oil has been changed every
3K miles, del Sols are generally unstoppable. You
might want to ask the current owner if he/she has any
of the maintenance records. When I bought mine, the
guy came out with a folder with every receipt from
everything he's ever had done to the car, from
replacing the roof seals to every oil change it had
ever had- all done at the dealer, too. I had NO
worries buying that car!
