I had NGK's in there, they did not look too spent, but I went ahead
and put in bosch platinum quad fours. There is a noticeable
difference. Granted I am probably just back to where the engine
should be it still felt good. That and I changed the spent cobra
tires I had on there. Put on some cheap Kumho's that I bought on
Tirerack.com and what a difference. Its like my Vig is brand new.
However, I may try some fuel injector cleaner. I do like Acura
suggests, I only put in 93 or better octane (that hurt this winter,
with the gas prices), but I have not put in a fuel injector cleaner.
I will probably get some soon and see if that does anything.
Now however I seem to have a new problem. Has anybody had this
before? My speedometer is going crazy. I will start driving the car,
and the speedometer does not move until like 15 Mph. Then if I really
step on the gas it reads way higher. I was going down the highway the
other day, and I was in the middel lane. The speedometer said that I
was doing 80, but I was getting passed with ease by other cars.
Im not too worried about it. The rpms tach ok, no major issue there.
I dont think the tranny is slipping (yes I have an automagic). I
figured its probably what ever device reads the cam shaft or
something, but I have no idea where to look for that thing to see if
there is a loose connection or something. Any ideas?
Thanks guys.
