Can't give much of a before or after since we bought it with it
installed from southern california. We test drove several stock
CRV's and were a little dissapointed with the power. We saw this one
on autotrader.com and after getting pics decided to buy it, fly out
and drive back home to MASS. The power is great at any RPM and the
whine the supercharger gives off is pretty unique. Our CRV also came
with Mugen suspension, body kit and 4-2-1 exhaust header. We bought
it with 38K miles and now have 66K miles. Gas mileage is around 24-
26 (awd model) and we have had no problems until recently. The RPM
drops at idle or anytime I push in the clutch. We are trying to fix
this now and think it is just a vacuum leak. The supercharger itself
is smaller than the stock intake manifold and looks great. It's a
great complete kit. If you have any specific questions please ask
and I can try to answer them. I have pics if you are really
interested. Installation should be left to a professional or a very
experienced shade tree mechanic. Hope this helps.

I'd love to see some pics of the supercharger. What year CR-V is it
installed on?

Hi, your drop in rpm might be that your valve is tighten and need adjustment. This happen to me my 2000 CRV with 42k has the same problem. The manual say no adjustment until 105k. When I checked the valve one of my intake was tight and couples of the exhaust was also tight. The adjustment brought the rpm back up to 730 and was around 500 before. Hope this help. Also about the jr supercharger who make it and where can I get it. I live in southern california.

JR stands for Jackson Racing. He sells the entire kit and his shop
actually installed this kit using an intergra GSr fuel pump with a
rising rate fuel regulator.

www.jacksonracing.com

We expect 150k miles from this engine and supercharger without any
major problems. Time will tell though.

What do you mean by valve? Are you talking about valvetrain
adjustments in the cylinder head?

Thanks.

Yes, by removing the head cover on top and check each valve clearance for intake and exhaust. You can get a service manual on line from amazon.com for $16 by Chilton for 1995-2000CRV or auto parts store for $23. Its very clear with picture. You can do this under 1hrs.

i put one on my 2000 cr-v at 5k miles, at 66k it is still great.  however the manual says to change the charger belt about every 15k, DO IT.  its hell to drive when the belt breakes or pops off.  i have attached a picture of the engine that shows the charger.

Thanks for the pic, it looks sweet. I've got a DC Sports DAC intake on
my V, and I can just picture that supercharger in there with it! Nice
job on the red hoses too, and the color coordinated oil cap and plug
wires. I'm going blue with mine, but I haven't done as much as you
have yet.

Have you had it dynoed? I've seen the official JR dyno sheets, but I'd
like to see some 3rd party tests as well.

Later,

Matt

Good point. I've heard that the "G-Force" in car dyno and 1/4 mile
timers are fairly accurate. Better than seat of your pants estimates,
though not as good as an actual dyno. I've been thinking about getting
one, so maybe if I get a JRSC I can post some numbers.

Our supercharged CR-V was dynoed in so. cal. and made 165 to the
wheels. Look up a DSM club in your area (eclipses and talons) and
ask them where they go. Most of the fast DSM's are AWD. Good luck.
