I also had an ASC after market moon roof put in. The booming sound is because of the pressure differential. If you open a window an inch (I usually did the back), the booming sound goes away. I love the moon roof, especially for long distance driving on a clear night.
The car does have more tire and road noise than I would have liked. I think the car could do with some more sound insulation, but for round town driving, it's OK. I use to drive an Eagle Talon with 210 HP and all wheel drive so at first the lower horsepower took some getting use to, but after you get use to it, I think the pick-up and speed on the highway is not that bad.
