Has anyone installed an aftermarket intake on their CRV, if so what did you use and how do you like it.
Seems to me that AEM has about the best name out there and it wont suck hot air from under the hood but I dont know if the filter would get wet in the rain. I had that problem with my CAI on my 95 Impala SS and It was a Pain in the A**
I dont know where they locate the filter and havent seen any pics of a CRV so equipped.
I did find a listing for an AEM intake for 97-98 CRV but nothing for the 00. Are they all the same or have there been changes under the hood besides the HP increase?

Marc,
I myself am currently looking into buying an air intake system to replace the stock intake unit in my 97 CRV. I was informed by DC Sports that their DAC unit will fit the CRV but not their Max Air unit. Check them out at www.dcsports.com. The DAC unit is sold at www.wrenchead.com but I do not see one listed for the CRV for about $177.00. May have to call them to check.
Another unit is th RM intake unit that is available for the CRV at $199.00. I read about this at www.hondasuv.com under the product reviews.
Try this link to get info. This is the intake I put on my 99' CRV. Not much difference in power at low RPM's, but a nice little boost at high RPM's. Besides it sounds cool.

I installed one, then modified my installation. Took pictures, and will scan them in and send them out as soon as I get the time to find them and do it.

I have my '91 Integra air intake on my 2000 CRV. Funny thing is this also fit my 97 Accord. It is a little difficult to fit hose in, but it works and sounds great. I had to build my own mounting bracket.
