My car starts but won't turn over, is not the cpu or anything like that cause theres sparks as far as to the ignition itself, the fuel pump is working, the car has gas, so what's left is the ignition, i tried the spark plug test, and theres no spark there, and i bought everything that you can find inside an ignition except the coil. do you think it's that?, or it could be something else?? Is just that i wanted to make sure before spending more cash, is really making a hole in my wallet.

My brother had a 91 crx si and I replaced the ignitor which supplies the spark and it fired right up. It actually went out on him twice while he owned it. Good luck.

Second the igniter. The igniter has a big power transistor which collapses the voltage to the primary coil windings to fire the spark. Basically it replaces the points of the old style distributors, but it's all solid state instead of mechanical. Obviously if it breaks you won't have any spark.

You should do a resistance test on the coil windings anyways, and replace if it's out of spec, but it's unlikely that's causing your no spark condition.

So the ingitor replaces the points on the distributor to get the spark to the plugs. What a very important job, and it seems like he needs a new ignitor for the sparks. Without any sparks the car is dead and unusable. So I hope he gets it fixed. How long does this repair take to do?

No, the distributor still has a rotor to route the spark to the appropriate plug. What the igniter does is collapse the low voltage primary field which induces a voltage spike in the high voltage secondary.
