205 40?u got ur self a low profile wheel...well still then try to check ur rims offset...luk 4 a rim that would match ur fender width...as long as it turns out well...u could basically drop it...8i sugest use a coilover kit instead so u could adjust it netime of d day...with a satisfactory ride at the same time...

well basically if u wanna drop ur car 2 d max level or drop it real low..ur ride wouldnt be dat satisfactory nemore but useable though..with the right stuffs...yeah having a gud strut would help but basically struts are for d cars front balancing...my car i9s a civic SIRII 2000...i role with coilovers runing in 205-40-17's...i just had d right rim offset using my stock struts...& a little camber alignment...having ur car real droped, sacrifices d ride...but no mistake abt it...luks real gud...coilovers,camber balancing & d right offset...dat would do your problem..u can even roll with 17's with that

Here's a question: Are there laws about how far you can drop a car, similar to the laws about how far the tires can extend from the fenders?

Maybe it's different in different areas?

What I was referring to would be two different issues. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/57.gif)

I've heard that in some areas at least, there's a limit to how far tires can extend out past the fenders, and I was wondering if there's a similar law regarding how much clearance is required between the bottom of the car and the road.

ah yeah in california...i think d law is checked based on the headlights...i think its atleast hips above the headlight level...im not very specific but yeah its pretty much smething like dat..it would realy depend on the location...in the philippines you can actualy drop ur car....as crazy as u can...you can change engines without getting ne probs with the smog shits...as long as the engine has papers...well it really depends on the location...some places are strict some places jst dont care..
