The problem is, often when the crank pulley comes off, it wipes out
the end of the crankshaft. If the end of the crank (or the bore of
the pulley) are not too hammered, and the pulley fits snug, you need
to make sure the keyway and woodruff key that interlock the crank and
pulley together are also intact. If these are OK, you should be able
to reinstall the pulley successfully. The torque spec for the bolt
is really high (can't recall offhand). You will need to either
hammer it down with a big impact wrench, or you need the special
holder to keep the crank from turning while you hand torque it with a
big breaker bar or torque wrench.
