Hey there Linda, I don?t know how to solve your problem LEGALLY, as I?m not familiar with U.S. laws, but I?ve made a simple calculation: 76k miles X 1.6 = 120k km. Probably it was just a mistake, someone registered the car data as kilometers, as the numbers match. If the car has 120k kilometers, it matches perfectly the 76 thousand miles. I usually do that conversion a lot when I write to international mailing lists, as my Civic trip meter says it has 132 thousand km (say no more, now it passed 140k :) ), and I convert to miles, which is around 80k miles. I think it depends on your state, but in MD I know you can sue them for rolling back an odometer, i'm pretty sure its the same in any state. They usually are required to give an "odometer reading" statement when they sell you the car. This swears that the odometer reading is correct...it can also say that they are unsure of the actual reading, in which case you are screwed. There is also no way you can get your del sol back, but i would definitly report the dealer to your local BBB and state government.
