I LOVE my crv. The problem is, while on vacation in Maine my husband pulled to
the side of the road and SUNK the right front wheel into the soft shoulder. Only
about 5 inches of the tire was showing if that. We tried to get it out, just
sank more. We had to be towed out.As a result we needed the cv joint (boot)
changed. Forgive my terminology please if incorrect. This happened the end of
May. I now have a knocking or thumping on the right front side when
excelerating.Especially when I turn sharply to the right or left. The weird part
is sometimes it will do it a LOT and other times now and then. We cleaned all
the dried mud and dirt out. Could it just need a front end alignment? I have the
extended warranty but am afraid they will void it. Honda did not change the
boot. We had it changed for $70.Honda wanted $75 just to look at it. Now what?
I'm getting discouraged. This is my 2nd honda. The first was an accord we had
for 10 yrs. I absolutely love them. My crv only has 11,000 miles,I just want it
fixed without costing lots! I have an appointment with honda next week but
thought I'd try a few suggestions first. Thanks in advance. Sue
