Is it advisable to install a relay for the headlight? I changed my lamps
(80w) and i noticed it still lacks power.

Headlight relay not needed, I installed the 100w/80w HELLA H-4 bulbs from
performanceproducts.com. These halogen bulbs have exceptional out-put for
about $15.00 a piece. After trying many bulbs, PIAA, JC Whitney, Ultra
White, Super White, and more than a couple of funky colored bulbs that
acually DECREASED out-put over the original, HELLA are the best.
YOU will have to CALL performanceproducts.com to order unless you have a
printed catalog. YOU could also search the Web for other seller's of Hella
100w high beam/80w low beam H4 bulbs.

CR-V EX """5-SPEED""" is the only choice for me!!

I live in the EXTREMELY wooded, deer infested South. Lost two friends to
deer accidents, a present LIVING friend has had 18 deer accidents in his 43
years.

Travel the backroads of North Carolina, South Carolina, and Georgia, very
green, wooded, beautiful and DANGEROUS!
MATING SEASON - "THE RUT" OOOOOO NO, Bucks on the prowl or rage - same
thing.

I have tried no less than 9 sets of different bulbs before finding the
Hella's.

Hella H4 100w high beam/ 80w low beam have saved me countless times by
lighting the road MUCH better than the standard LOW WATTAGE bulbs, NO RELAY
NEEDED. The Hella's don't blind on-coming traffic as long as you switch to
low beam. MORE light is better than not enough!!

I'm told my white 1999 EX 5-speed CR-V with the Westin Bull bar and
additional fog lights will be featured in the April edition of this group.
HOPEFULLY

Hey Saltman:

Thanks for the explanation. I Live in MD and we also have some country area
frequented by deer and I am frightened to drive on these roads at night so I
take the highway, but we all know the CRV is much more fun on back country
roads. Where can I get some of these headlights and is it just the bulb or do
you have to replace the entire headlight?

Thanks, Craig
