If you chose your mods carefully all will be well. For off the shelf intake go with the RM Racing intake (www.rmnsx.com). Has the best fit and finish. For a ready made exhaust the choices are 2. The Remus rear section or the Greddy/Thrust cat back. The Greddy will give more power on a Type II but has a large single tip which I find unattractive. If you go custom exhaust beware of large diameter piping. It will kill your low end. Any of the OTS mods I mentioned above will not create an objectionable amount of noise. Intake and exhaust are the first things to do in the search for more HP. Next would be control modules such as the Venom 400 (for part throttle use) and the Bayou stage II ECU for full bore.

Don't forget to get some really trick wheels, but be sure to get the right offset and don't go over 17" if your car is a daily driver around here.

If you want to see my car go over to www.autobuzz.com go to the gallery and select carlisle custom compact show part 2 and I'm on page 6. We also have some shots of the whole crowd up on the Legend Temple.

Did you have to remove the traction control? I was told that I may have to to remove it to get the right fit. The Greddy did sound pretty noisy when I heard it. What about the dual exhaust mods?

Did you hear a Greddy on a Legend? And of course your idea of to loud may be different from mine. As for dual exhaust, There is no room to run a TRUE dual exhaust (1 from each manifold). People have done rear section duals but it's an expensive job to do right and I don't care for the look.

As for removing the TCS actuator for intake installation, Weapon R has (had?) a TCS specific application for the Legend. I've also seen the RM Racing intake (non TCS specific) fitted to TCS cars. One guy over here in Montgomery Cty did a custom cold air system by fitting together various pieces of intake tubing with silicone hose and clamps, actually looked pretty good. My car is a 92 so I don't have TCS.
