Hello   Does Greddy sell a turbo kit for the 99 honda civic ex ?  It has the D16Y(?) 127hp Sohc motor.  I am just looking at this option as my motor only has 40k miles and I would really like to get some more miles on it before I swapped it out :)   I heard a guy on a forum tell me that you can get one for like 1500.00 new.  Is this true ? What does the labor usually run to have one of these put on ?   Thanks brad

It's all true and the labor should be around 500.   If you live around the tristate area I know a great guy.

Heya Dre   You forget I dont know shit lol.  Whats a 20G some kind of Nos ?  The guy told me a turbo would get me into the 13s, was he right or full of it ?   Brad

Build your motor and put on a 20G.  If you put on that turbo you won't be happy.

Probably high 13's or low 14's.  A 20G is a mitsubishi turbo that will put you in the 10's or 11's.  12's on pump gas easy.

Brad,

Just check on the internet for one.  Just be careful with those speed shops, they really bend some people over.  Good luck.

Brad (or anyone else interested), I found this place on the net for custom built engines that some people might be interested in. This guy specializes in honda engines (the only ones I saw on his sight). And he claims he can do custom jobs according to your own specs as well. He also doesn't only do custom engines. The prices seem reasonable. He usually gives one price for just motor and another for a full swap (all linkages, tranny, etc.). Ever wanted to have a CRV/Vtec block in your civic? He's built one you can swap in. Also, he's selling a turbo LSVTEC that he's stating's been race proven to 9 sec. 1/4's. The website is: http://www.dh-racing.com/. Well, have at it. :) This guy seems on the level. See for yourself though.
