I have driven the Type-S on three different
occasions. The first dealer outside of Chicago was Trying to
hardsell the car and I just didn't need that. I pointed
out a few features of the car that he wasn't even
aware of. I couldn't believe the acceleration after
5000 rpm. Like a little Ferrari! Two days later I took
one for a ride at home in Milwaukee. The salesman
there had a great route for some high speed runs. I
didn't want to get out of the car. My wife (it'll be
"her" car!) wanted to look at the Eclipse GT so we test
drove one of those and it seemed like a hog to me. We
immediately went to the Acura dealer and took out the Type-S
without the salesman. She was smiling from ear to ear. I
had her watch the speedo since I was just hammering
on it and I got it to 65 in 2nd gear! It didn't take
her long to get the hang of it either. As we pulled
into the dealer she said this is the one but it must
be black. I wrote out a check and the cars on it's
way. Due in the last week in August. I can't wait!

Sweet! I test drove it today, too. I wanted to go
back and test drive it AGAIN without my girlfriend
(she was getting scared of the speed so I couldn't
flex its muscles appropriately), but I knew I was
already decided on this baby. Question is how much should
I pay for it.

Did you pay MSRP?

Yep. Neither dealer was going to move, but I did get the rear spoiler for
$325.00. I do think the car is worth it,though. The resale in 2-3 years should
be pretty good,too.
