Recently my gearshift lever started locking in Park. I can use the key in the little slot to the right to release it....but it still locks every time it goes into Park.....?? How do I keep the lock from going on every time. Warren

Do you have brake lights? when you step on the break the solonoid should click. I think that I had to climb under the dash and play with the brake lite switch on my 90 coupe. Jeff
