I am looking at buying a 2002 crv, I drive alot of miles with kayaks
on my roof. Just wondering how this affects the mileage. My civic
gets 39 without boats and 30 with two boats up top. Any info would
help.

James,
Sans kayaks, I routinely get 26 - 28 mixed driving my 2000 V. With two sea
kayaks, milage falls to 23 - 24. I removed the factory rack with a 75 lb
capacity and installed a Yakima Rail Rider system. Let me know if you need
more info about this rack. hondasuv site has lots of techie details too.
