I own a 2003 3.2TL Sedan.
I was wondering what other owners of this model are getting on
average for gas mileage.
While I don't really think I have a lead foot, around town, I only
seem to be getting about 17 MPG in stop and go traffic. Does this
seem average or a little low? I am not complaining just wondering!
But, I must admit that I was most impressed with an average MPG of
32.6 on a recent trip from Hamden, CT to Montreal. What impressed me
most about this was that I averaged 72.2 MPH by the time I arrived in
Montreal, which included 15 minutes for border crossing and one quick
stop for gas. I have double and triple checked my figures and they
are correct.
I knew this car was a hauler but for the engine size and weight of
the car I remain impressed. Maybe its the 5-Speed tranny with Lock up
Torque converter that helps.
I had a 1999 Subaru GT Wagon with a 5Speed Manual Tranny and never
got anything above 26.5 MPG on the highway. It had a 165 hp boxer
four cylinder engine.
In any event, just wondering about the high and low MPG owners are
getting.
Thanks,
Tony Taylor
