What kind of gas mileage does everyone get with their Ody? We have taken our Odyssey on several long trips, and we always load up a LOT of stuff. We seem to get about 26 mpg. This seems pretty good to me. What is everyone else averaging?

How long have you had your car? I'm still suffering the NewCar Mileage Blues, and am pretty sure it's nothing near that. We'll be going to Colorado soon and would love to get 26!

Our Odyssey will be 2 years old this August. However, we've been getting this kind of mileage for a while. I don't know what we got on the first trip we took, which was when the van was only one month old, but we've been getting about 26 mpg for a while. What kind of gas do you use? I know that sometimes the brand makes a difference. How old is your van?

Something else, that I forgot before, that you can do, is put in a K&N airfilter. If they don't have them in stock at your local car parts store, then they can probably order it. I haven't done this to ours yet, but plan to. This will increase gas mileage, and give you a little extra power in the process.
Good luck!

This is a 2001 EX with 278 miles on it. Tomorrow I'm getting a new transmission. I didn't want a new transmission. However, it is preferable to listening to a tiny jet engine turbine which service stated was a torque converter. Oh, well. I'll try the air filter thing, and I buy Amoco or Texaco 87 octane. It'll probably improve, but I'm so.o.oo impatient.

Since you only have 278 miles on it, I'm sure it will improve!! I'm sorry to hear that you need a new transmission!! That would be frustrating.
Good luck!
