So far we are getting about 20 - 21 with typical suburban driving.
Yes the tank seems a bit small

I just measured one tank on my new '02 at about 19, which was largely
city driving. It only has 600 mi so far, so I would expect it to pick
up a hair after it's broken in. - Larry Portland, Maine

I purchased my 2002 CRV EX 5SPD last Tuesday 1/15 and this past
weekend, I took a 400+ miles roundtrip. My first fill was at 22.5 MPG
and the second one was at 24 MPG. One change for me is noticing
when the low gas indicator is illuminated between my 2002 CRV and my
97 Civic. On my CRV, low gas indicator came on at about 250 miles.
At about 283.5 miles, I filled the tank with 12.6 gals (w/approx 3
gals left in the tank). I averaged 22.5 MPG. On my Civic, low gas
indicator does not come on until about 330+ miles. Another change
for me is adjusting to the CRV 5SPD shifter. The Civic 5SPD shifter
is much smoother. Overall, I am very satisfied with my CRV.

I had the chance to test drive a 5spd '02 CRV EX. I didn't like the
clutch action, maybe it was just different than the clutch on my
truck. The dealer wanted over 24k. That is over $2,500 over MSRP and
$4,000 over invoice. I decided to go somewhere else or wait until
supply catches-up with demand.

Before I purchased my CRV, I sent an email to about 30-35 dealerships
in the midwest and lucky me, the dealership near where I live gave me
the best deal. I purchased my 2002 Honda CRV 5spd for $21,300
(includes destination charge). It took almost 7 weeks before I
picked up my CRV this past 1/15 but it was worth the wait.
