I took my wife's new (new to us) 2001 SE in to the frame shop yesterday to investigate the slight constant pull to the right. They found that the caster angle is bad and is causing the pull. There are no adjustments for this on these cars, only for toe in-out. They say they see this a lot and that they fix it by loosening up the whole front suspension and give it a tug here and there until things line up. Sounds a little crude but it's a very reputable shop.
They aso found that the camber on the back is too much, the rear wheels have a 2 deg camber angle, which is wearing out the insides of my rear tires - again, no adjustments possible. They recommended a camber adjusting kit, which is basically a replacement pin with an offset that secures the upper control arm to the frame. Is anyone familiar with these kits? Can you point me to a good vendor for them?
Thanks, Bob 2001 SE silver San Jose, CA
