Foul Odor when the fan/heater is on any body has anybody experience this on there CRV-2000 EX. I went to the dealer they spray something in the car but after a week i start noticing/smell it again, Dealer said it is due to a change of weather. Is it true!

Years ago, a mouse crawled up into the air system of my Audi and died. That caused an awful smell until they actually took it apart and got the poor critter out.

If you use the a/c alot it tends to build up moisture if you shut it off with the car. I would always kill the a/c about 5 mins from my destination and just run the fan to get the moisture out of the system as much as possible. The moisture can build up and possibly get moldy in the air ducts. It will reappear next time you turn on the fan. It's probably easy enough for you to pull the blower motor out, usually it's only 3 or 4 screws under the passenger side dash and see if there's anything in there that's removable....moisture, leaves, dead animals (IMG:style_emoticons/default/wink.gif)

This may sound obvious, but I had a funky smell coming from my heater in my brand new '02 - then I noticed the recirc button had been pushed by accident. - Larry
