I'm about to order a Form-Fit deflector from a local Honda dealer for
their cost, $78.00.

Any opinions on this brand/model?

I don't like the way they look personally. I have a different brand and one of my sisters have a form-fit on hers and it kinda looks ugly to those who have commented on it.

Not sure of the brand on mine though, I will have a look and see tomorrow if you like.

When my 2001 EX was still new at the dealer, I had them put on an "invisible bra" using the 3-M material. (Cost about $190.00 to cover the front of the hood area, the front face of the rear view mirrors, and a small portion of the upper-front fender next to the hood.)

In my first up-close-and-personal-interview with an owner of a seasoned CR-V (a 1997),  he recommended such a bra. His had one installed when the CR-V was new (also installed by the dealer, btw) and there wasn't the least bit of stone-peck road damage to his hood. The "bra" was still "invisible. It had not yellowed. The edges and corners were still firmly in place, etc.

I was sold on the invisible-bra idea after looking at his 115,000 mile veteran of hood protection.

It's not an ugly bra. It's not an ugly deflector. It's just good physical protection for the front hood area.

I have a "COLGAN CUSTOM" form fit vinyl protector with back padding, I only
use the hood portion of the protector. I wouldn't leave it on for long
periods since dirt can build up underneath it thus scratching the paint.
Primarily installed after waxing the hood in preparation for long trips, a
week or so of travel even with a bit of rain, the hood looks perfect after
removal of the cover or BRA as they're most commonly called!

Plastic hood protectors??, not for me but many seem to enjoy their ability
to remain on "V" since they do not touch the paint. It can be somewhat
difficult to wash underneath the plastic deflectors.
