i'm not gonna say that what you'd like to do hasn't been done, but
i've never heard of it for a honda, b/c of the unique setup of front
and rear brakes. if it's been done at all, it should be done from
the same 'make' of vehicle. you don't want to mess with application
problems of fitment w/different makes and models. to me, yeah, that
AEM kit is expensive but you know it WORKS. IMO, slapping something
on like brakes that you're not sure would work well and haven't been
wear-tested with your application is just waitin' for problems...
that is if they fit at all.
one can fudge on an engine, or maybe even a tranny. but brakes? the
risks of an untested set on your application just don't seem worth it.
