Recently my drivers side window is struggeling to roll all the way up. It goes down fin but not up. I have to help it up with my hand. The thing is, that it is not grinding and no weird noises are happening. It just seems that it does not have enough **** to get it all the way up. In the beginning ot is great but at half way it just peeters out. Sowhaddyathink. Is it the motor or is there some sort of build up that is causing some sort of jam. Thanks BEn

Sounds like either the drive belt is over tensioned or the motor is going out... If the belt is overly tense, continued use will eventualy blow the motor. So, get it looked at !

Hi - New member here:

I had this exact same problem. It goes down just fine but had to help the drivers side window up sometimes with my hand. (2003 Honda CR-V). It's been like that for a few months now. I just thought it was getting stuck if it rained or was cold out and lived with it.

Well, this past weekend, the window went down just fine but then I could hear this loud clicking noise - the window is now stuck down inside the door. To stop the clicking noise, I just pushed up on the window button. A personal friend who is also a car mechanic is going to fix it for me. He took the door panel off and said it's the motor/window regulator. I looked up the part online by typing in "Honda CRV Window Regulator" in the web browser line. One of the first sites that came up is the instructions for replacing it. (Something I wouldn't attempt myself.) I then looked at other sites that came up for a price - it's about $88 to $107. I took a shot at finding it on eBay and sure enough, a Seller does have them. In the eBay line I just typed "Honda CRV Window Regulator" - a few Sellers merchandise came up - lowest price I could find was $88. plus shipping. I will let my friend do his magic in the auto fixing world and get it for me at a lower price.

Not really knowing about cars, I'd say get your window motor/regulator looked at now before it gets stuck in the door like mine did. It's a hassle but if you can fix it now, all the better. I guess I should be thankful it's not winter right now!!!

Hi,
I have a 97 Odyssey - driver window very slow to go up (but not down), due to front rubber molding/guide coming loose slightly. Eventually, after a year, the rubber came out 2 inches. To check, just pull on the rubber all along the track with the window down to see if theres any looseness; if so, you probably need to re-glue the whole track. Also appying a bit of grease or oil or even water along the edge of the glass and seeing if the window moves faster might confirm the problem is the rubber.
Cheers
