Does anyone know how to get rid of the door auto-lock feature ( i.e.
u start the car the doors lock )

hmmm, neither did I. I have a 2001 honda crv west one. COuldnt see this
feature at all, any more information?

My V has it, but it's actually part of an after-market alarm system I
installed, not part of the standard package. elifr, you sure this came as
standard with your V?

I bought this car used ( 10K miles ) and it has a keyless remote made by 'automate' ( this is the name on the keyless remote ) . I guess that this is not a CRV feature but rather the alarm / Keyless entry feature that is programed to lock all doors after the car is started ( note started and not when shifted into gear - like other auto-lock featured cars ) , unless any door is open

previous owner must have been a real paranoid ......

It is definitely a feature found in 3rd party alarm system. Check
the brand name of the alarm, download the user guide from the
internet. I had my previous 2 cars installed with similar alarm and
the auto lock feature can be deactived.
