Many of the topics on seem to get many people reading them but no one responding. Is this normal?

This is normal for a forum that is just starting out. But you and I can help by personally replying with interesting replies that cause other people to want to engauge in posting activities.

Hey WHC and Shinji246. I thought the areas I've been checking out were fairly active. I guess there are some threads that are kind of specialized without a lot of replies.

In my case, I'm most likely to get involved in the Civic threads because that's the Honda I have most experience with.

I'll see you around. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/cool.gif)

New forums take participation. The only unanswered threads seem to be asking for really specialized information... well, not every poster is an expert. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)

I am still pretty new here but have already read some valuable information on a few threads. Hopefully the more active it gets, more posts will be answered. I asked a question about my 93 Honda, but I think maybe only a mechanic can answer that one since it could be a number of things.

I don't know the ones I tend to see like that are the ones that are looking for answers to specific problems with their car. And if I don't have an answer or know anything about it I don't comment. Maybe that is what you are seeing?

That's true, Tater. Sometimes people want a free diagnosis on a problem through the Web, and that's not always possible (much like soliciting legal or medical advice, it's better to ask an expert).

I don't mind people asking for help. I just think that alot go unanswered because they just have not had the problem so in turn don't have an answer. It is worth a shot asking thought because you just never know when someone might have the answer that you need.

I think the more the site grows the more people who may have specific knowledge about particular problems will show up and then more questions will get answered. At least I am hoping (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif) .

I hope so too! I try to chime in whereever I know anything, but I am definitely not much of a mechanic.

I agree with the posters above.

I think some of the questions are quite specific, and while many people here would like to help, they may not have experienced the same problem mentioned in the question.

I think it would be great to get as much good advice here as possible, though. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/cool.gif)

I've actually learned quite a bit of things that I didn't know before about my Honda and Hondas in general. I agree though, the more the merrier. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/beer.gif)
