can anyone tell me what the difference between a b16a1 and a d16a1 honda engine. are the blocks the same whatz the diff

They are completely different. The B is dual cam, and the D is single.

no i got a d series engine that is a dual cam<br><br>can i buy b series pistons for the d series

Not from Honda. All Honda "d" series motors, are SOHC. All B's are Dual. The single hump in the "D" indicated 1 or single. The two humps in the "B" indicates 2 or dual. If you don't believe me, call Honda, and give them the engine code. You cannot use "B" pistons in a "D" motor! However many companies made many pistons for the "D" in the compression ratio you want, depending on your application (ie..turbo, or N/A).
