Hi everyone, I know this list hasn't been the most active in the world - so I thought I'd ask for some opinions. My del Sol is still running great, but it's starting to show some rust :( and my rubber seals for the doors/roof are starting to leak :( I guess to get the seals replaced it's like $1000 - ouch! And my trunk leaks EVERY time it rains. Waah waah waah! I read the articles by Rene Jeddore - I guess I should try them, especially the trunk one. Anyone tried it? I haven't been keeping up to date with what Honda has in mind for new cars. If someday my del Sol dies big-time (gasp!) are there any new Hondas coming out that can compare? New models soon? I know there's the S2000, but it's pricey. I paid like 20K in 1994 for my VTEC del Sol. 33K for an S2000 seems steep. Are there going to be any really new (revolutionary) models coming out in the next two years? The del Sol was made for - what - 5 years (I think). Will the S2000 also run for 5 years to make way for a new sports car? I like the Acura RSX type S, but I wish it had more hp. If it was 240-260 hp I'd be a lot more interested. Yeah, so I like the S2000, but I really like the roll-bar targa thing of the del Sol. What about other small sporty cars - anyone have any favorites - if they HAD to replace the del Sol? I like the sounds of the RX-8 - but the thing gets like 12 miles a gallon for like 240 hp - what's up with that? If I was getting 12 miles a gallon my hair better be on fire on a straightaway with 500 horsepower! So what do people think? Jason Jason_Dickinson@... 1994 del Sol VTEC 192,000 miles and running great!

Jason, I got just the one fro you. Lotus Elise. it has a 1.8L Toyota dohc with 4 valves per cylinder. 190 hp at 7800rpm and 138 fl/bls at 6800rpm. Even though these numbers are not high, you need to realize that the car is suppose to weigh under 2000 lbs. 0-60 with the sports pack 4.9s. 0-100 in 13s. 1/4 mile in 13.6s. top speed of 150 and 0-100-0 in 17.5s. These numbers are very impressive. and it's a targra!!! http://www.lotuscars.com/ Paul '94 del sol targa '72 5.8 918 targra '73 1.7 914 targra www.pelicanparts.com/motorcity/smrz914/ >
