The little "Maint Req'd" light blinked 7 times or so when I started
my 03 CRV last night when I left work? I don't recall it blinking
that many times before. Does or have this happened to anyone else?
If so, what is the cause?

I know those lights on GMC trucks blink when the next oil change is
required...wasn't sure if it was that sort of thing on my CRV. I
just hit 18,000 miles. I have been servicing exactly how the book
says, every 5,000 oil change.

Judging from the way my '01 Insight's Maintenance light works, I'd say
that this is normal behavior. It is triggered by the number of miles
traveled since the light was last reset, presumably at the last
servicing.
