I made several posts to the Yahoo CRV Newsgroup page back in August. The original post is #1734, you can check the archives if your really interested.
I just wanted to let anyone interested know that the problem finally is fixed. It took 7 months but it's fixed. Honda replaced the transmission. The total cost for the job was $3700.00. My cost was $350.00 and Honda picked up the rest. I guess the moral of the story is to talk with American Honda Customer Service when you can't get satisfaction from the dealership because some dealerships just don't care. BTW: The same time my wife had her CRV in the shop there was another CRV there which was also getting the transmission replaced. I still think anyone with an early model CRV should be aware of the marginal automatic transmission in the CRV.
