Consumer Reports rated the CR-V the most reliable vehicle sold in America.
I would trust your EXCELLENT choice of letting the Honda dealer perform the scheduled maintenance. They will have access to recall information, Honda is excellent at notifying consumer's. My 1994 Civic SI had an AC condensor recall, no problems with mine, had only 5000 miles on the car at the time. They still placed a NEW condensor in the car, absolutely free of any charges to me!!
I have owned 37 vehicles in my 39 years, MISTAKES and ERRORS at Jiffy Lube, Wal-Mart, and the local reputable shops have facilitated the need to go to the dealer. They service EVERY vehicle made??, they figure it out, SCARY STUFF!! They also missed problems the dealer caught immediately!!
Once a vehicles value drops below about $5000, and 100K plus miles will I go elsewhere. Why? the dealer costs about twice the local shops on MAJOR repairs. The regular oil changes and routine maintence are very reasonable at the dealer.
