Just got the revamped 2002 CR-V. I live in Australia and need to
know how does the CRV handle the sand of driving down a beach? Is
the on demand 4WD up to this sort of treatment?

I've been a member of this group long enough to have seen this subject
come up before and if I remember most said to avoid the sand...correct
me if I'm wrong. My old truck was a 2wd but it was modified to fit 31 x
10.5s. I could go through it if I lowered the air pressure. The tires
had more contact patch and would float over the sand. Remember the 31 x
10.5s were also wider to start with. If I'm right about what I stated
at the beginning of this post...avoid it! It's an SOB to get a vehicle
outta sand! (IMG:style_emoticons/default/sad.gif)
