Just got this in my Honda dealer's newsletter:

While details are sketchy, Honda has confirmed it plans to debut a long
awaited upscale version of the popular CR-V model sometime in late spring
2000. Shown at the Miami car show in Gold with a leather interior, the SE is
expected to be available in green and white as well. In addition, all SE's
will be 4WD and equipped similarly to the current EX version.

The one at the Miami Auto Show had a sunroof and painted bumpers.

I work for Acura, and i spoke to the Honda Rep. He told me the New CR-V SE
model will be available in three colors. The colors are: Naples Gold
Metallic, Taffeta White, And Cypress Green. The SE will feature Leather
interior, and Body colored bumpers, and side mouldings. There is NOT going
to be a moonroof option in the US spec models, (that was my main question to
him) Expect the SE model to debut some time in March. The price was not
yet known at the time I asked.

so basically it's just going to be a 4WD EX with painted bumpers...right? i
was wondering if i would be trading up soon but since i already painted my
bumpers and have the hard spare cover...i'll keep it.

now all you need is to get the leather interior, re-paint your CR-V to one of
the SE color specs, then you've got yourself a CR-V SE

Yep a customer at the local dealer had the seats covered in leather VERY
nice reminds me of Lexus factory leather seats but it cost $1500.

Mine are leather and I love 'em. Minus the hard tire cover, painted
bumpers (who needs painted mine is black!) and the cassette. I got the
same thing AND paid a lot less.

Ok folks. Hollywood Honda has some of their plain CRVs Sent to a shop for
sunroofs and leather interiors....

No big deal....
