One of the CR-V's downfalls are the poor seats and driving position, has anyone replaced the seats?
A new edition of Car and Driver placed the CR-V down in the pack of SUV's due to the seats and lack of power.  I am happy with the power, but then I have a 5-Speed. I must say, I am NOT pleased with the seats and driving position, the driver seat adjusts itself, the settings for tilt and height gradually creep down.
I would like to replace the two front seats.
ANY SEAT INFO. WOULD BE APPRECIATED.

Funny you should mention the seats - just four days ago I was looking at
a pair of bucket seats from a 1995 Ford Windstar (they were salvaged &
in good condition). I measured everything up, and am sure they can easily
be adapted to fit. Only problem is the loss of some interior room, and
perhaps getting the proper seat belt receiver in place. The colors weren't
too bad - not a match, obviously, but they still would look good in my
silver CR-V. I haven't bought them yet - my wife would rather spend the
money on the house.

I took off the seat cover and started to add towels to it....i dont' know about your seats...but my seats would make a rubbing noise when i would sit....so i took old t-shirts and put them between the seat frame and the cushion....and as for support...i added towels to the inner side for side support (dont' know what you would call that) and i added another towel in back of the cushion...between the cushion and the frame for Lumbar support....then you just put the seat cover back on...and you now have a better than stock on a budget seat...hehe...the towels stay put once you put the cover on....and now...my seat is actually enjoyable to sit in....

Toby and Saltman,
I am also 6'1", and drive my CRV daily in my work, usually 100 to 150 per day.  The seat is not as bad as a couple Chrysler cars I have had in the past.  Prior to the CRV I had an Accord which was more comfortable.. Is there any chance the Accord seat would fit in the CRV? Another thought, the first generation Odyssey seats are quite comfortable and I was thinking the other day if there is a possibility they might fit the CRV. That seat sits lower than the CRV seat but not as low as the Accord seat. I'm just jumping in here with my thoughts on this and if a solution is forthcoming I may try it. Thanks guys..  This is a top website for sure.

CORBEAU is the cheapest at about $350 a seat, every year I go to a large auto parts showcase at the Charlotte Motor speedway.  I have seen NEW bucket seats from many vehicles that are customized before delivery to owner's.  A bit of luck and fitment knowledge, and you can get NEW buckets seats for under $200 for the pair, A LONG SHOT though.
6'2" 240 pounds, used to be solid, but I am getting older, and this computer thing has spread the pounds to the wrong places (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)

Received a catalog from CORBEAU Manufacturing. They offer a variety of
seats, most in the $300 range. Mike

I'm not sure...but the Honda seats should fit...cause i've come to realize
after messing around with the CR-V...that...a lot of Honda parts are
interchangable....like i changed my suspension...and it was the same part
number as an accord V6 and a Prelude....that's just an example....oh by the
way....is anyone by the New Jersey area?? cause there is an Auto Crossing
school at Englishtown Raceway...and i'm going to bring my CR-V....after
doing my suspension...i find that it handles so much better than some
cars....my friend has a Golf GTi and i can take turns quicker than he
can....
