Here we go again with this issue. Bing and I wanted to make some sort of device
to indicate whether the
RT4WD is active or not. On the HORTA website, they have extensive information
on Honda's RT4WD
System on the older Civics, but no specifics on the CR-V. Since the Civics used
a viscous coupling
Which triggers the RT4WD mechanically, it seems that we are out of luck there as
far as attaching
Some sort of a triggering mechanism.

Horta says that the RT4WD on the CR-V is triggered by hydraulic pumps. I am no
engineer and
I'm not so sure how hydraulics are triggered. Are they triggered manually or

I've been over this, in my Factory Service Manual, time and time again....

There is NO electronics associated with the RT4WD. It is a completely
mechanical device.

I, too, would like to have an indicator of some sort, but -- it ain't
looking good!!
