hi, i got a 98 cr-v. recently it started to make give out a knocking
noise from the cargo area of the car. it sounds metallic in nature.
any ideas? i hv not removed any trims to troubleshoot yet. would
appreciate any comments/suggestions. am afraid it could be a loose
spot weld.

Im curious how loud it is.. and when it happens

We have a 01', and we used to hear and noise that sounded like it was coming
from the back, and I tapped/hit, the spare tire frame (where it
connects to the tailgate and it sounded like thats where it came from..). We
noticed it when we hit bumps or such like that. But we dont hear it
anymore.

Last winter we also had a LOUD knocking noise coming from underneith the car,
but they dearlership said it was from Ice.

Just some suggestions to what it might be.

out of the shop yesterday and the mechanic said that his does it also. Your
hinges just need some lude. Ask your Honda place
