I wonder if anyone has experience a clicking sound from the engine of
a 1999 CRV. I usually hear the clicking sound coming from the engine
whenever my car has been out in the sun. When I start the engine and
change gear from Park to Drive, I hear a clicking sound coming from
the engine. I took it to the dealer and they said it's a loose valve
so they tighten it. However, when I pickup the car from the dealer,
start and change gear from park to Drive and listen, I could hear the
clicking sound. The dealer told me it will take about 2 to 3 days
before the tightening of the valve kicks in. Well, it's been about
more than a week and I still hear the clicking sound. I plan on
taking my car again to the dealer and have them check it out. It's
interesting that the "clicking" sound does not happen when I start
the car in the morning. It seems to happen when I'm coming home from
work after my car has been park out in the sun.

Has anyone experience this? How did they fix it?

Please advise.

Thanks.

Just to give you an update.... I took my car back to the dealer and
here's they are checking:

Check timing belt, if okay
Check all cylinder valves

The Dealer estimated that it will take another 1 or 2 more days to
figure out what's wrong with the car( it's less than 2 years only!!!)

Has any one experienced this problem?

Please help.

Thanks.
