My seats stain Very easily and I'm having a hard time cleaning them.
Even snow stains these seats, and the fabric on the interior door panels.
I tried a carpet cleaner, which was useless.
Does anyone have tips, or have had the same problem?
I'm not sure what the stains are from, I'm guessing coffee, as its the only liquid that's been in the car.

Thanks for your thoughts!

When you refer to snow staining the seats, is that because it has some salt mixed in from a street? If that was the case, I'd try diluting the salt with a very damp cloth and adding more water.

Also there are products mentioned in another thread that are great for some fabric stains. The one I've had success with was Tide Stick. It's from the laundry detergent company, and in the form of a pen marker. Sometimes it takes more than one application.

Good luck. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/57.gif)

Tide is what I use and I does get rid of stains. It's the best detergent at getting things clean. Sometimes though you need some extra help. I love to ask for what works for someone else.

create your own cleaner. Combine 1 quart of water, 1 tbsp of vinegar, and a ˝ tsp of detergent. Detergent can consist of dishing washing liquid or washing machine detergent.

Using a soaked towel or spray bottle, apply the mixture to the stain. Allow the mixture to saturate the stain for a half hour.

Using a towel soaked in warm water, wipe away the mixture.

Allow the stain to dry.

If stain remains, repeat steps 4 and 5.

Apply a stain repellent product to the carpet.

Once the car is completely dry, vacuum the interior. Good luck!

For stain removal I use Spray and Wash. It always removes tough stains from clothes and seats. I think the steps by Honda Guy seems good to get stains out. I want to give it a try because I'm out of my Spray and Wash. Thanks for the special recipe for keeping our seats clean. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/liebe011.gif)
