hi all, i'm new to the group and was curious about changing out my am/fm
receiver for a cd receiver. is the wiring for all honda oem players the
same? i'd like to just buy a used civic or prelude cd receiver or something
off ebay for cheap. will it work?

thanks

ted

Ted,

All head units are not the same. The plugs change every few years, and
sometimes are different in different vehicles, and in some cars the
stock head unit it shaped funny and you need an adapter for aftermarket
head units. (some Civics for example)

What year is your CRV? My '98 had an AM/FM head unit with the add-on
CD unit beneath. I replaced it with a Kenwood and I'd be willing to
sell either the CD unit or the whole head unit. Let me know.

Later,

Matt
