Anyone know how complicated it is to put the camber kit on the car? I've been told that its easy to just throw on with the coilovers, but I've also been told you have to get the cambers balanced on some kind of machine for each wheel??

hey there. here's my take on camber kits. take it for what it's worth: when i put on my coilovers and lowered my car, it wasn't enough to make the tires look like they were "toeing in" but they were. i knew before i had the coilovers put on though that camber kits were the way to go though to keep the life of my tires. i don't know whether it's easy or not to install the camber kits, because i took them to an alignment shop and they did the alignment at the same time of the camber kit install. the reason you do need to get the camber kits balanced right away (i.e., the same time as install, if at all possible) is that every time you change the height of your car, the alignment is thrown off. without camber kits, a lowered car will have the look of tilted tires which results in reduced tire patch contact with the ground - something you don't want for safety as well as performance issues. so, yes, there is a machine that you need to use with the install of your camber kits. but odds are is that you don't have have it and you need to go to an alignment shop that does. now, some alignment shops might not install camber kits for whatever reason. i was fortunate mine did. if yours doesn't, just go to your local speed shop and have the kit installed there with the lowering you wanted, and then go to the alignment shop for them to do their work.
