Hi everyone

About to decide between a 2007 Honda Fit auto or a 2007 Yaris auto.

Any drastic issues with the Fit I should know about?

Thanks

Love the 2007 Honda Fit!! Not sure about the Yaris. I haven't heard anything personally. But you definitely get a two thumbs up from me on the Honda Fit! It's the better choice in my opinion.

They are both great cars, but the Yaris has the speedometer and other insturments in an awkward place - imo.

My only question is why buy new? You get more bang for your buck when you buy used - even one year trade ins or dealer models!

The Yaris was panned by Consumer Reports for handling issues. I had looked at most of the minis and had considered the Yaris coupe until I read the CR piece.

Well as far as reliability and repair costs go i would choose honda anyday. However here are two links that might help you out a bit

make sure you visit the "battle of the minicars" gallery and click on the cars for more detailed info
http://money.cnn.com/2006/06/23/autos/subc...sion=2006062707

and here are a few technical specs from another board along with user feedback

I would probably pick the Fit because I know more on Honda's reliability in the long run.

I've seen more of the Yaris on the streets, I think. Is it more popular?

And I'd also be curious as to which would most likely have the highest resale or trade-in value. I'd also consider buying used.

I have heard of the Fit selling out in a lot of places. Has anyone else come across this?

The only negative issues I have heard with the Fit is the interior fabric attracting lint. Definitely have a lint brush in the glove compartment.

I was looking at some information about the Honda Fit. It is number three in Japan right now. The car market in Japan is a thriving one with many contenders. So it has made a name for itself at least there is some way.

Here's a website about it:
