I have a 2000 CRV with Bridgestone tires and haven't had a problem (yet)
but I will sure keep your problems in mind.

I agree the Bridgestone tires are the best choice from the factory. They
may be a bit loud but excellent in the rain and light snow! They are built
in JAPAN just like your CR-V (LOOK INSIDE THE DRIVERS DOOR WERE THE DOOR
LATCHES FOR THE BUILD LOCATION), regretfully the Japanese do a better job at
making the tires. I feel that the American made Bridgestone tires will be
much better in the future due to the problems Bridgestone/Firestone
experienced. It is a sad fact that the Japanese are more disciplined in
their manufacturing operations.
I deal with Japanese, American, French, and German precision manufacturing
in complex and critical processes. IT MAKES ME SICK!!! The Japanese are
#1, Germans #2, French #3, and Americans LAST most of the time, at best #2
to the Japanese.

The tires that came with my 97 CR-V are B.F. Goodrich Touring T/A. I
live and do most of my driving in Florida, which is one of the
trouble spots for Firestone due to the year-round heat. After nearly
4 years and 62,000 miles my tires haven't given me one bit of
trouble. I will probably need to buy a new set within the next year,
and I would be very comfortable buying exact replacements.

The BF Goodrich TOURING T/A's are a fine road tire. For the dirt the
Bridgestone's are a better choice, though a bit noisier due to the more
aggressive tread design. EITHER WAY, they are both built in Japan, since
the vehicle is exclusively built in Japan!! The defective Bridgestone tires
were built in the US, in which the affected plants are not producing them
anymore. I should know, I live 5 miles from the newest
Bridgestone/Firestone plant in North America.

Only two Bridgestone/Firestone plants are making replacement tires, One in
Canada, One in South Carolina, BOTH NON-UNION!

In Conclusion; Doesn't matter which tire you received unless the light
snow/off-road capability of the Bridgestone is a concern, but this vehicle
wasn't designed for aggressive use anyway. The driving in Florida is
definitely flat, no-snow?, I would just stay out of the swamp with the T/A's
or Bridgestone's LOL.
You can see my Yokohama's at http://www.bsalt.com excellent
wide-super-smooth road tire that beats them both!!
