First time posting here...

I'm looking to buy a bicycle carrier that is suitable for a Honda Passport. It seems most of the bike carriers are designed for SUVs and minivans that have "hatchback"-style doors that open upward. The Passport's unique way of opening up (window goes up and door swings open) mean that there are fewer options for a bike carrier.

I have thought about putting a rooftop bike carrier on there, but those are expensive. Since my spare tire is UNDER the car, not on the back of the door, I can't use a spare tire-mounted bike carrier (which would be cool).

Does anyone have a bike carrier they can recommend?

Hey kushibo, have you checked out Thule products? Here's a link to a website that may be helpful:

I've seen quite a few of their racks on vehicles in my area.

I have never seen that rack before. I could use this one in the back of our truck for the kids bikes. I am glad I seen this post.

I have a Saris Roof rack (FS Thread in the classified section) that takes all kinds of attachments. I used it for several years on my 96 passport. It is a very good product and left no marks on the Passport when removed. (it clamped on)
