Has anyone done something like this? I've been considering putting a
bench seat from a Nash Metropolitan in my Insight. The purpose would
be to increase passenger capacity from two to three. The trickiest
part is, it would require relocation of the handbrake and the
installation of Metropolitan seat rails into the Insight.

Anyway, I'm interested to hear what you think.

I looked up the car you mentioned and putting an
antique seat into an Insight just seems wrong to me.
If you want to do something radical, how about moving
the battery pack into the rear trunk area and carving
out a spot for a seat between the speakers?
